From wmgg at yakko.cs.wmich.edu Wed Oct 14 22:33:51 2009 From: wmgg at yakko.cs.wmich.edu (Western Michigan Gamers Guild) Date: Wed, 14 Oct 2009 22:33:51 -0400 (EDT) Subject: [wmgg-announce] Art Contest Message-ID: Every year the Western Michigan Gamers Guild holds an art contest to find a new intepretation of our mascot "Marmalade Dog" to grace t-shirts, web sites, flyers and other items promoting our annual gaming convention of the same name. This year the prize is $50. The contest is open to everyone, so if you can't draw but know some artists who may be interested please forward this email to them. Multiple entries per person are accepted. Marmalade Dog is typically depicted as a dog wearing a horned helmet and a bandoleer. The Jeff Easley illustration at the top of our web site (www.wmgg.org) is an excellent example. All previous Marmalade Dog renditions are on display here: http://wmgg.deviantart.com/gallery/ At our November 13th general meeting one entry will be chosen by a vote of the WMGG membership. Email submissions will be accepted until November 12th or you may bring your entry to any of our weekly meetings up to and including the deadline: http://www.wmgg.org/weeklymeetings.php All entries must be two color (ex: black and white) line art. Digital entries must be at least 300dpi or in vector format. Paper entries should include a note indicating how we may contact you and whether or not you want them returned. The winning entry becomes sole property of the Western Michigan Gamers Guild. All other entries are retained by their artist. Send entries and questions to: eboard at wmgg.org
